– Northeast independent wrestler Smith James announced on Twitter that he’s been signed to a WWE developmental deal:
“The next 2 months will be my last indy shows for the foreseeable future (hopefully longer) as I was offered a WWE developmental contract.”
James was trained by former ECW World Champion & TNA announcer Taz at his finishing school on Long Island. Taz tweeted the following congratulatory message to James:
“official congrats to a future player in WWE, @BigGameJames12 pleasure training u & pleasure being friends with u! Kick ass bro!”
Referee Matt Bennett, who has worked for Jersey All Pro Wrestling, has also been signed to a WWE deal and reported to developmental this week.
