Following his return to the ring at WWE WrestleMania 35 last night, Batista has announced that he is officially retiring from professional wrestling.
Batista went to war with Triple H in an entertaining No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania, with The Game eventually coming out on top after a helping hand from the Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
After the match The Animal took to social media to announce he is now retired from professional wrestling, thanking the fans whether they jeered him or cheered him for being part of it, thanking them for allowing him to entertain.
It had been expected that this would be Batista’s final WWE match as he has spoken in interviews for a long time about wanting a WrestleMania match against Triple H to be his final bout, which is exactly how it played out for him.
To all the @wwe fans across the world that gave me the opportunity to suspend your disbelief, thank you. From the biggest part of my heart thank you for letting me entertain you. Tonight… https://t.co/CIzkd3t2IW
