Tenille Dashwood, who previously wrestled in WWE as Emma, will be taking some time away from the ring to repair a nagging shoulder injury that she has been dealing with for the last six months.

Dashwood competed against Sumie Sakai at Friday’s ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view, but was unsuccessful in capturing the Women of Honor Championship. Later in the show they shot an angle where she was attacked backstage, clutching the same shoulder that Sumie worked over and damaged during their bout.

The finish of the match came as a surprise to many fans who expected the title to change hands, but at Saturday’s ROH television taping things became a bit more clear as Dashwood announced that she would be stepping away from wrestling to have surgery. She also talked about her autoimmune disease and a skin disease that have been bothering her for quite some time.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Dashwood’s injury is legitimate and that surgery will be required, although exactly how long she will be out of action is unknown. Furthermore, despite the injury Ring of Honor has offered her a new contract which she is expected to sign in the near future.
