Speaking at his bi-yearly press conference discussing Lyon’s financial results – transcribed in RMC –  club president Jean-Michel Aulas opened the door to making Tanguy Ndombele’s loan move from Tottenham Hotspur permanent.

The midfielder returned to OL two and a half years after leaving for the North London side, in a deal which includes a permanent option set at €65m.

“We have to let a few games pass by, we’re only at the start. But if we win the Europa League, anything is possible.”

“I’m very happy that he’s back, with Bruno Cheyrou and VIncent Ponsot [directors] in charge, as we needed to negotiate with Tottenham who bought him for a lot. He played a part in his return by investing in it personally.”
