Paris Saint-Germain have announced this afternoon that defender Sergio Ramos will be absent for this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixture against Lens due to muscle fatigue.
The Spaniard, who had made his debut for the club against Saint-Étienne – having picked up a calf injury shortly after his arrival in the summer – also missed the scoreless draw against Nice in midweek.
PSG indicate that the centre-back’s work schedule has been modified, but that he will return to full training on Sunday. Meanwhile, his compatriot Ander Herrera is also set to return on Sunday, while midfielder Julian Draxler returns to training in 2-3 weeks.
Neymar is continuing treatment for his ankle injury, and a new set of tests next week will determine the precise amount of time he is sidelined for.
