American Idol is returning this spring!

ABC’s reboot of the long-running musical competition series will enter stage right with a two-hour premiere Sunday, March 11 at 8 p.m., returning host Ryan Seacrest announced on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday.

As previously announced, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie will serve as judges.

Auditions for the series began in August and spanned 23 cities across the country, from Portland, Ore. to Orlando, Fla. This time around, contestants were also allowed to audition via online videos, social media, and a live-stream platform. The hashtag #TheNextIdol generated over 300,000 posts, according to the network.

The original series ran on Fox from 2002 to 2015 and spawned the careers of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. It was eventually canceled because of its declining ratings and expensive price tag.

American Idol will be executive-produced by FremantleMedia North America’s Trish Kinane and Jennifer Mulin along with co-executive producer Megan Wolflick.
