Rains are wreaking havoc in Himachal Pradesh since Saturday, dismantling life and connectivity in the region. There are reports of people and vehicles being swept away in Beas river, which is swelling beyond the danger mark.

Kullu district is the worst-hit with more than 1,000 people being moved to safer places.

As bus services stay suspended, hundreds of people are stranded at various places. More than 150 people are stranded at Lahaul and Spiti. Out of the 150 people, 40 are in Darcha, 50 in Sarchu and 60 in Chandertal.
