Come August 5 and the name of one of busiest railway stations of Indian railways and the biggest goods train yard of Asia – Mughalsarai Junction – will become a part of history.

The East Central Railway will be hosting a grand function at Mughalsarai railway station premises on August 5 when railway minister Piyush Goyal will formally unveil the boards of the new name – Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, in the presence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Talking to TOI on Sunday, divisional railway manager, Mughalsarai, Pankaj Saxena said, “We have received the tentative itinerary of railway minister Piyush Goyal, who is arriving here on August 5 to attend the function for formal renaming of the junction.
