The team of San Juan beat Lomas de Zamora in the final series and crowned its fourth title in Argentinean A1 League with a 28-1 record and 86 out if 95 sets won.

UPCN won in their league debut 3-0 over UNTREF and crowned with the same result the third game against Lomas in the final series. Undoubtedly, wins in straight sets were usual to UPCN in an edition in which they accumulated 23 wins in that outcome over 29 games.

Until now, Bolívar held the record with a 16 point lead in the regular season and six lost sets in 2006/07 edition. However, UPCN ended with two of those records since they outscored Sarmiento by 19 points during the regular season and only lost five sets.

After being defeated in Formosa’s hands, UPCN reached eleven wins in a row in straight sets that left them, for the first time in their history in A1, as the regular season leader. In the playoffs the history didn’t vary much, as they ran over Gigantes and Boca with only one set against.

The final series started being harder than expected. Lomas fought hard and gave a great match in San Juan that UPCN won 3-2 (22-20) and even had some moments of parity, the team of San Juan dominated the second and especially the third final for ending the series 3-0, with Theo Lopes as the MVP and a great team performance.

UPCN Roster: Demián Gonzalez, Theo Lopes , Junior Sousa , Martin Ramos, Javier Filardi , Bogdan Olteanu , Sebastian Garrocq, Sebastian Fernandez , Lucas Tell, Francisco Lloveras, Gustavo Molina, Rodrigo Peres Lopes, Nicolas Lazo, Matías Salvo. Coach: Fabian Armoa .
