Last night’s Raw averaged 2.39 million viewers, down only two percent from last week’s wedding show, which would be a good sign, and seems to establish a significant bounce back this year after football season ends.
Next week’s Raw, which goes against the college football championship game of Clemson vs. LSU, will be the last show against major sports competition until the NCAA basketball finals in April, and usually starts Raw’s biggest ratings period of the year.
Next week’s show is being intentionally loaded up to try and keep the ratings momentum of the past two weeks rather than give up against the game and shoot for a big number in two weeks.
Last night’s episode was down three percent in the 18-49 demo from last week, which would be considered strong given the number last Monday was the best for the show since an appearance by Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.
Unlike last week, which held up better for all three hours, this had the usual pattern of a big third hour drop.
The show opened with 2.72 million viewers and closed with 2.19 million viewers.
