John Cena is teaming with Nickelodeon for a revival of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.”

Nickelodeon announced today that Cena will host a new version of the game show, which will begin production this spring and is scheduled to premiere later in 2019. Cena will also be an executive producer on the series.

The original “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” premiered on Fox in 2007 and was hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.

Nickelodeon’s revival “follows the original premise of adult contestants putting their knowledge to the test by answering questions taken directly from elementary school curriculum. New game elements will be added to the show, including an additional ‘cheat’ option, new ways contestants can enlist the help of their grade-school classmates, as well as a ‘final exam,’ where contestants must answer a question from each grade in a race against the clock.”

“I’m excited to partner again with Nickelodeon to host this new series, and I can’t wait to see kids defeat grownups who find themselves back in the classroom,” Cena said in a press release.

Cena returned to the ring at a WWE house show in December. He also briefly came back to WWE television at the beginning of January, appearing on two episodes of Raw and one SmackDown. WWE claimed he would be an entrant in this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match, but he was taken out of it in an injury angle and didn’t appear at the pay-per-view.
