Former WWE headliner C.M. Punk has his first UFC opponent.

Mickey Gall quickly dispatched Mike Jackson on the undercard of Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night, setting up a fight with Punk.

Punk, who was at the fight card in Las Vegas, posed with Gall in the octagon to make the fight official.

The date is likely UFC 199 this summer, although Punk is still pushing for the historic UFC 200 card.

Update: Punk was interviewed by reporter Ariel Helwani on Fox Sports 1 following the events. Punk said he’s having fun, Gall seemed to be having fun, and he’s trying not to take himself too seriously getting lost in the build-up to his first pro fight.

Punk reiterated that he would like to debut on the UFC 200 card, but it will be up to Dana White when he debuts this summer.
