On Raw earlier this week, Bobby Lashley attacked Kevin Owens and destroyed his already injured knee, which several fans took as a sign that the wrestler was turning heel. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to turn Bobby Lashley was made only a few hours before Raw went on the air. After much debate, Vince McMahon made the choice to turn Lashley heel because he believes that the company needs more heel characters at the moment. Owens is legitimately injured and will remain out of action indefinitely. Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley will continue to compete on Raw with Lio Rush by his side, but he will now definitely have more of a heelish side to him going forward.
Asuka was unstoppable in WWE for the longest time. “The Empress of Tomorrow” was an NXT Women’s Championship, a Royal Rumble winner, and even when she was promoted to the main roster, she remained undefeated in competition until she was finally defeated by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34 back in April. Since then, Asuka has barely been featured on WWE’s pay-per-view shows, and according to PWInsider’s Elite Audio program, the main reason why her pushed was stopped is because of her inability to speak the English language. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has reportedly been unimpressed with the Japanese native’s promos, and that appears to have stopped her momentum in WWE for right now.
WWE held their Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia earlier this month, and the company went all out for the show. Not only did the show take place in the massive Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium, but it also featured a match between Triple H and The Undertaker in the main event. The company has also just released a special behind the scenes mini-documentary for Super Show-Down on their YouTube channel, which can be watched right now for free. ‘WWE Day Of’ is a brand new video series that shows WWE Superstars getting ready for the Australia event that took place last weekend. For those interested in watching the video, it has been posted in full right down below:
