L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 strugglers AS Monaco have opened formal negotiations with Bordeaux over the possible signing of Guinean international attacker François Kamano.
The 22-year-old is under contract with Bordeaux until 2021 – thus Les Girondins are asking for more than €20m in order to let the youngster go – for the moment, Monaco view this as too much.
Club manager Thierry Henry was asked about Les Monegasques’ pursuit of the player and had the following to say:

“He is a good player. We know how he plays. He can play wide, he likes to cut in and beat men, he can also cut back and come central… But today he is a Bordeaux player and I will not say more.”
