After reports that WWE was interested in signing Bobby Roode, the former TNA Champion showed up at NXT Takeover: Dallas and was shown on camera. Roode had been with TNA since 2004, until he quit last month after being turned down for a raise. Roode recently spoke with The Peterborough Examiner about where he stands with WWE:
“I’m not officially signed yet,” Roode said. “The Internet has blown up over it, and I mean I’m close, but I don’t want to spoil anything or ruin anything. I want to wait until it’s official. I don’t want to jinx anything either.”
If WWE were to sign Roode they may also bring in Eric Young, who quit TNA on the same day as Roode. They would work in NXT with the younger talent.
