The hits just keep on coming…
Less than one hour after announcing that Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was injured and would not be able to compete in her advertised match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan has shocked the world, turning heel on route to becoming the new WWE Champion.
Bryan faced AJ Styles in an impromptu title match this Tuesday night on Smackdown Live, after the two got into a wild brawl to open the show. In the closing moments of the match, Bryan “inadvertently” took out the referee before nailing the champion with a kick to the groin, connecting with a running knee strike to win the title.

If that wasn’t enough, Bryan continued his assault with a second knee strike after the bell had already run. He then kicked away at an unconscious Styles’ face until being physically forced to stop by the referee.
