Speaking to Canal + – his words transcribed in RMC Sport – before tonight’s match against Paris Saint-Germain, Brest midfielder Romain Faivre revealed that there had previously been talks between his representatives and tonight’s opponents.
The midfielder had been the subject of a potential transfer to Milan in the final weeks of the summer window, which led to him skipping the match against Strasbourg in August.
The former Monaco man defended his decision, explaining that a move to the Rossoneri would have made him reach a new level. When asked about a move to PSG, the 23-year-old confirmed that he himself would be interested, after talks were held.
“It’s a dream, it’s my hometown, my family and friends are there.”
