— Following the qualifying matches on tonight’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi, Matt Hardy will be defending his ECW Championship against three possible challengers: Mark Henry, Evan Bourne or Finlay. On tonight’s show, Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero to qualify for the pay-per-view ballot, and Finlay defeated John Morrison to also be eligible for Cyber Sunday. On last week’s show, ECW General Manager Theodore Long told Hardy’s No Mercy opponent, Mark Henry, that he’d get another shot at the ECW title. For more information on the match, click here.

— ECW wrestler Elijah Burke has posted a new blog on the WWE Universe site. Burke talks about O.J. Simpson, Clay Aiken, as well as Britney Spears. He believes the media is quick to bash a person, but slowful and negligent to speak on someone when they turn themselves around. Burke also jokes about not being seen on television in recent months. He wrote: “I am, however, a fan of anyone who defies the odd through pure will and determine to better one’s self! So here’s my point; just how much coverage is the improved Britney receiving from the media? About as much coverage as YOUR Pope has received on ECW! The other day I was at a local school reading books to kids when all of a sudden I began to feel a little parched. A teacher’s aide brought me a carton of milk and as I opened it I saw a “Have You Seen Me” ad with my picture in it and ‘The Man Bear’ was in the background. Darn Archives!” {The Elijah Experience (Oct. 14, 2008)}
