Nice-Matin have been informed by sources close to OGC Nice that Patrick Vieira has confirmed that he will remain in position as manager for the 2019/20 campaign, despite the transfer market uncertainty caused by the club’s mid-summer takeover by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS group.

Les Aiglons have not signed anyone this summer as the outgoing investors do not want to spend any money, but departures have occurred, notably that of 22-year-old winger Allan Saint-Maximin who is joining Newcastle United for €18m + bonuses.

Additionally, the local paper cites the possibility of central defensive prospect Malang Sarr moving to Gladbach and Adrien Tameze possibly departing to Everton.
