MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will compete at the Super Regional 3 tournament beginning on Friday in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Friday’s competition begins at 10 a.m. with first-round/pigtail matches. The consolation rounds start at 1:30 p.m. and the championship quarterfinals/consolation second round beginning at 5 p.m.

Saturday will feature the final day of competition, with championship semifinals/consolation finals set to begin at 9 a.m. that morning. The first, third and fifth-place matches are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The top five placers in each weight class will qualify for the national meet, which will be held in March 14-15 in Cleveland, Ohio.

MSUM senior Matt Lewellen leads the Dragons with a 24-14 record at 184 while freshman Blake Bosch is 17-10 at 125 pounds. Senior Conner Monk is 11-10 at 174 pounds for the Dragons.

The regional meet will be MSUM’s first action since the Dragons downed Mary, 42-3 in a dual meet on Feb. 16. MSUM finished a solid fifth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this year with a 4-4 league record.
