Speaking in an interview with Presse-Océan, Ligue 1 side FC Nantes President Waldemar Kita confirmed that the club will activate their option to purchase Nigerian international Moses Simon from Levante, after initially loaning him from the Spanish side last summer.

The 24-year-old scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions in a fantastic first season in the French top flight.

The option is understood to be at €5m. Kita added:

“We are going to keep him. He is an excellent player, with a good mentality.”

Lyon and Rennes are understood to be interested in buying him from Les Canaris, once they activate their option on the player.
