The battle between Rugby WA and the ARU will continue, with an appeal decision in the Supreme Court adjourned today.

Earlier today, Rugby WA was granted the chance to appeal against their Super Rugby axing, after the arbitration decision found in favour of the governing body, who immediately moved to axe them.

The appeal was heard in the Supreme Court today, after written submissions from the Force and ARU were reviewed, but the case was adjourned by Justice Hammerschlag.

Justice Hammerschlag said he is not confident of providing a decision as soon as next week and while he will endeavour to do so, he will keep both parties notified throughout.Billionaire backer Andrew Forrest met with ARU board members in Adelaide on Tuesday, with the national body turning down an offer of grassroots investment believed to be $50 million, to keep the Force alive.

The Force have said they would look into Asia should their appeal fail, with Forrest saying the ARU had agreed to support that bid in their meeting on Tuesday.
