Earlier today PWInsider.com reported that Elias is backstage in Birmingham, Alabama for tonight’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown, as he has been out of action dealing with an injury since September.

The same source is now reporting that Sheamus is also backstage for the show. It was actually noted last weekend that the former world heavyweight champion was brought in for Survivor Series weekend, possibly to be checked out by doctors. It’s unknown if either star will be actually used for television tonight.
