For the first time ever, the female superstars of WWE will be participating in their very own Royal Rumble match. The match will feature most of the talent from Raw and Smackdown, but several spots have been left open for possible surprise entrants. Per a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ronda Rousey is now expected to enter the match. Some reports have stated that Rousey will be filming a movie during the time of the event, but Meltzer claims that Rousey will not only enter the match, but she will likely emerge as the winner. The news of Ronda Rousey possibly entering the match comes just days after UFC President Dana White stated that Rousey would likely not be returning to MMA.
The final episodes of Raw and Smackdown before the Royal Rumble are now officially in the can. During those shows, a few of the roster members have declared their entries into the match. “The Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods will be participating in the Royal Rumble match. Even with the likes of John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton partaking in the match, there are still quite a few spots still available. It’s definitely possible that some other WWE roster members, or even surprises such as Pete Dunne or Ethan Carter III, could enter the match. The Royal Rumble event will be taking place this Sunday on the WWE Network.

John Cena has been taking on several film projects in recent years, but if resent reports are to be believed, he may be signing on for his most peculiar role to date. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Cena is in negotiations to portray Duke Nukem, which is a alien hunter character based on a video game series from the 1990’s. The film is being produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes company. With John Cena set to appear in the upcoming Transformers spinoff film Bumblebee, which is produced by Bay, it definitely looks as though Cena could be signing on for the film very soon.
