Speaking in an interview with Olympique et Lyonnais, Algerian international striker Islam Slimani discussed the future of team-mate Rayan Cherki.
“He has a lot of talent, I have rarely seen a 17-year-old player with so much talent. Now, Rayan must understand that he has to work. We know it, talent alone is not sufficient. If you have talent and you work, you can go even further. He is 17, we don’t need to put too much pressure on him. I repeat, he needs to work and we need to give him confidence.”
