Karim Benzema’s lawyer Alain Jakubowicz has responded on RTL following Le Monde’s publication of the transcript of Karim Benzema’s testimony in front of the judge this morning.
Jakubowicz had the following to say:
“Words fail me! I have never seen something like this. I have been doing this job for almost 40 years and I have never seen this. It is absolutely staggering. Do you realise that a complete record with the judge’s questions and Karim Benzema’s answers have ended up in a newspaper?”
Jakubowicz was then asked whether he would be filing a legal complaint for the breach of privacy with regards to the ongoing investigation:
“Of course we will. This situation is absolutely unacceptable… This case is not one that deserves to make the front page of every newspaper for three weeks, enough is enough.”
