Matt Riddle was interviewed backstage on the March 27 edition of NXT. The King of Bros defeated Kona Reeves on that program, with no thanks to The Velveteen Dream.

The Dream interrupted Riddle’s match and appeared on stage laid back on a huge furry couch. He was sipping from a golden chalice, which Riddle promptly took a drink from and threw away. Matt Riddle is on his game as a character and the only way to really throw him off is to get in his head, which is exactly what Dream is trying to do.
The Velveteen Dream is currently the NXT North American Champion and he will defend his title against Riddle on April 5 at Takeover: New York.
The rivalry between the two men has been somewhat friendly at first but that could change on April 3, which is the last televised edition of NXT before Takeover.
