L’Équipe report this afternoon that Marseille have reached an agreement with Atalanta over the signing of midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, with the Ukraine international expected to complete his move to the other side of the Alps tomorrow.

The 29-year-old will join the Ligue 1 side on an initial loan deal, with an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season, a clause which has been estimated at €10m along with €3m in potential add-ons. Malinovskyi, who was already a target for Igor Tudor’s team back in the summer, will now join after several days of negotiations between the two clubs.
Having made the move to Italy from Genk three and a half seasons ago, the midfielder has scored 30 goals in all competitions for La Dea, although only finding the net once this season. He has played a central role in Gian Piero Gasperini’s team of underdogs in the last few years and has impressed with his long-range shooting.
