According to L’Équipe, Monaco, who have already cashed in on the sale of Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid this summer, have been in contact with Sevilla, whose Sporting Director Monchi has reached out to express the Spanish club’s interest in centre-back Benoît Badiashile (21).

While Sevilla are awaiting the sale of Jules Koundé to free up funds for the acquisition of fellow French defender Badiashile, the Spanish side had also offered Youssef En-Nesyri (25) to lower the price. Monaco, who are in a strong financial position this summer, are in no need to sell, so are maintaining a €50m minimum.

Despite the price tag, Barcelona are also interested in the defender, alongside Manchester United and Chelsea, who have had their eyes on the player for some time. The centre-half, who made 24 appearances and scored once in what was an injury-blighted season has also piqued the interest of Atlético Madrid, Newcastle and West Ham this summer.
