The idea to have Brock Lesnar appear on last Monday’s RAW was something that was set up within the last week. With Roman Reigns off of TV and Crown Jewel this Friday, WWE felt that Lesnar was needed to be on the show (even though he didn’t really do anything) to help build towards the championship match.
Prior to last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE which emanated from The Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, WWE taped the following matches to air as part of tonight’s episode of WWE 205 Live:
– The Brian Kendrick def. Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Drew Gulak was on commentary. Gulak tried to interfere but Akira Tozawa made the save from the crowd, leading to Kendrick getting the pin on Gallagher.
– Gran Metalik def. An Enhancement Talent. TJP attacked Metalik after the match.
– Mustafa Ali def. Tony Nese to become the new #1 Contender To The WWE Cruiserweight Title.
