Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Ajax left-back Nicolás Tagliafico (29) is flying to Lyon to complete his move to the Ligue 1 side. The Argentine international is set to sign a three-year deal.

Lyon and Ajax have long since agreed on the €4m fee, however, the player himself has needed convincing. According to L’Équipe, Tagliafico “didn’t want to join Ligue 1″ initially. He had his heart set on a move to the Premier League, but no offers materialised.
Tagliafico’s stance on the move has changed recently, and with him and his agents en route to Lyon, the deal is seemingly set to be concluded upon the completion of his medical. He has been the priority for Lyon since missing out on Tyrell Malacia (22) to Manchester United, but Tagliafico’s initial reticence forced the club into exploring alternative options.
Once he has completed his medical at Lyon, he will then fly back out to the Netherlands in order to join his new teammates on their pre-season training camp.
