Stubble burning has often been targeted as the prime cause for Delhi air pollution. This year too, as Delhi’s air pollution surpassed all levels of toxicity, stubble burning by farmers in Haryana and Punjab, was blamed yet again.

However, busting all myths stubble burning accounted for just three per cent of Delhi’s air pollution today, the lowest for this month, according to a government agency.

The Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR) said the national capital’s air quality “improved significantly” today as overnight rains washed away bigger pollutants, giving some respite to the city which has been reeling under “severe” pollution for the past one week.Click Here: NRL Telstra Premiership
