WALES’ SAM WARBURTON is expected to be fit in time for the country’s crunch Six Nations clash with Ireland on 14 March.

The team captain suffered a contusion to his knee during Wales’ defeat of France at the weekend, however a medical update today confirmed that he is expected to return to training later this week, though the medical team will continue to monitor him over the coming days.

Dan Biggar is also expected to be available after suffering a contusion to his hip, with the outside-half also set to return to training later in the week.

Bath’s Paul James will miss the encounter however, after he was ruled out for 4-6 weeks with a fractured thumb.
