The Queen spent her birthday morning keeping up her tradition of attending the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle alongside many of her royal family members, including William, Kate and Harry.
The royal chose a light blue suit along with a matching hat with a vibrant pink ribbon tied around it for her big day.
Missing from the festivities were Meghan and the Queen’s 97-year-old husband, who became the third oldest royal in British history this week, as well as Kate and William’s three children.

Of course, after Sunday the Queen’s birthday celebrations will be far from over, as the monarch has two birthdays.
While the Queen, who was born on April 21, 1926, typically celebrates her actual birthday privately, it’s also customary to celebrate a sovereign’s birthday publicly on a day during the summer, when the weather is nicer (yes, really).
King Edward VII, for example, was born on November 9, but his official birthday was always celebrated in May or June, when there was a greater likelihood of good weather for the Birthday Parade (also known as Trooping of the Colour).
The annual ceremony is typically held on the second Saturday in June.
