The residence of Governor of Karnataka is not only being flocked by people, birds and politicians but also many cats which have now become out of control. In December it was reported that the Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala, wanted all the cats to be taken off the premises ever since they became a nuisance for their family.

The horticulture department which manages the governor’s house tasked the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) department to fix the problem but they were struggling to find a solution. A senior official from BBMP had told TOI that they only have expertise in catching dogs but no cats.

There were around 30 cats prowling the Governor’s residence. Almost four months after it was not able to figure out a solution on its own, the civic agency has now outsourced this task to a private agency for almost Rs one lakh.
