As reported by Foot Mercato, ESTAC Troyes, currently fighting relegation in Ligue 1, are looking to add former PSG and France international midfielder Blaise Matuidi to their squad this January window.

Now 34, Matuidi has been playing for David Beckham’s MLS team Inter Miami since leaving Juventus in August 2020 but will not be retained by the Florida club.

ESTAC face competition from a number of clubs including Qatari side Al-Gharafa with a complex deal ahead to sign the player. Despite a bloated squad already, Troyes are looking to sign a central defender, a midfielder, a winger and a striker this window say Foot Mercato.

Matuidi played 84 times for France, scoring nine goals and first made his name with ESTAC between 2007 and 2011 before joining Saint-Étienne.
