According to Fabrice Hawkins, Real Madrid will need to sell a midfielder before making any move for AS Monaco’s Aurlélien Tchouaméni this summer.

Although Carlo Ancelotti “appreciates” the French midfielder, he is also keen to retain all of his current midfield options. For now, Real Madrid are therefore an unlikely destination for Tchouaméni.

Hawkins reports that his future “will be written in England.” Liverpool have been strongly linked, as have Chelsea, although their ownership situation has complicated matters. Meanwhile, PSG continue to follow the Monaco midfielder, although he is reported to want to challenge himself abroad.
