Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins have been awfully close ever since the sisters returned to competition earlier this year. Of course, in the wrestling business, one should always be careful when it comes to trusting people. Sure enough, The Bellas both ambushed Rousey on Raw last night and left her laying. Ronda won’t have to wait too much longer to get her hands on them as WWE has just announced that Rousey will put her Raw Women’s Championship on the line against Nikki Bella at the Evolution pay-per-view later this month. A title match between these two Raw Superstars has been the rumored main event match of the Evolution event a number of weeks now, but the match was made official by the company last night.
On the subject of Evolution, two of the matches that had previously been announced for the event have just been changed. The event was set to feature one singles match between Alexa Bliss and Trish Stratus, as well as another match between Mickie James and Lita. During Raw last night, Stratus appeared in front of the crowd to hype up the match before Alexa Bliss and Mickie James interrupted her. After James mentioned the possibility of merging their Evolution matches together to form a tag team match, Stratus introduced fellow WWE Hall of Famer Lita as her partner. WWE has confirmed that these matches have been combined and will now be a tag team match during Evolution on October 28th.

Japanese wrestling sensation Kota Ibushi entered the fight of his life recently as he just received a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes at NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling event. Ibushi lost the match, which some fans found distressing since he had teased walking away from New Japan Pro Wrestling if he had lost the match prior to the bout. Ibushi posted a tweet online later on clarifying his prior statements, and he has revealed that he will not be leaving or stepping away from the ring as a result of the defeat after all. Kenny Omega later posted his own response on the matter and echoed the statement that Kota Ibushi is not leaving the wrestling business anytime soon.

Just to dispel confusion from his comments on Saturday, Ibushi was not literally putting his career on the line, and is not quitting. https://t.co/M0fM25J5N9

Ibutan worries that his tweets aren’t being understood properly. Basically, he’s sorry to have worried anyone. He’s not quitting wrestling. He just feels disappointed in himself. He’s better than his match results suggest. He’s better than me. The true unsung champion of 2018. https://t.co/ywRoh8mXFj
