“Camp was a big success this year,” said Assistant Coach Tyson Reiner. “We tried a new camp system approach this year by adding a mini intensive camp for high school ages and separated our youth camp by different age groups. The quality of our kids has really improved over the years and we look forward to working with these kids in years to come.”
The Huskies ended their 2013-13 season with a perfect 21-0 record, which included a NWCA National Dual Championship, NSIC Conference Championship, Super Region 3 Championship and a Runner-Up finish at the NCAA DII Championships.
SCSU returns four NCAA DII All-Americans to the squad in 2013-14 and will be looking for their sixth consecutive top ten finish at the national championships in Cleveland, Ohio.
The grapplers return to the mats for their 2013-14 campaign on Friday, November 8 in Halenbeck Hall at 7 p.m. as they host their Annual Black/Red Classic.
