In speaking before his Lens team’s trip to Troyes this weekend, 2021 GFFN 100 winner Seko Fofana discussed his future with widespread interest in the player developing following two superb seasons in Ligue 1. When asked what next season will bring, Fofana explained:

“What we have here, whether it’s on the pitch or off, is very special – as is the harmony between us and the supporters. I hadn’t experienced that before. If I have to leave, I don’t know if I’ll find this atmosphere again. It’s still something incredible… I feel very good here. There’ll be no problem for me if I continue my adventure with Lens, a lot can happen in football. Today, I don’t really ask myself that question, I try to have fun with my team. A lot of things will happen at the end of the season, like Yannick Cahuzac ending his career. There will be departures and arrivals, there are still moments with a lot of emotions to come. I really try to take advantage of everything and try to finish the season well before seeing how it goes next year.”
