Rhea Ripley has chosen Candice LeRae and Tegan Nox as the first two members of her team for NXT Takeover: WarGames. The announcement was made when the former NXT UK Women’s Champion paid a special visit to WWE’s The Bump in-studio show this morning.
The “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler has also revealed her own first two picks for the upcoming WarGames match. Interestingly enough, the NXT Women’s Champion will not be joined by her Horsewomen partners Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. Baszler has chosen both Io Shirai and Bianca Belair to join her instead.

Both women have declined to announce their fourth and final picks at this time. It was teased that Ripley would choose Dakota Kai, the recent tag team partner of Tegan Nox. However, the team leader said she wasn’t convinced yet with her performance and needed to know if Dakota was a legit fighter who could handle the WarGames structure.
We’ll actually find out tonight, as Dakota Kai is scheduled for singles action against Shayna Baszler herself, who called her a “wasted pick” this morning on The Bump. That match goes down tonight on WWE NXT live on the USA Network.
