The Tuilagi name is well known in rugby circles, and this week, we will witness the start of Henry Tuilagi’s son’s international career.

Posolo Tuilagi will make his France U20s debut against England in the age-grade Six Nations on Friday.

Rugby dynasty

Posolo is the next in line of the rugby dynasty, following in the footsteps of dad Henry and uncles Freddie, Alesana, Vavae and England international Manu.

Much like his dad and uncles, Posolo is an imposing figure, standing 1.92 metres tall and weighing 145 kilograms.

The 18-year-old is at the start of his career and has made 10 appearances for Perpignan this season.

He made his Top 14 debut against La Rochelle last September coming off the bench, with his first start coming against Pau in February.

France are still in the running to win the U20 Six Nations Championship, winning two of their opening three games.

Much like the senior team, the U20s were given a fright by Italy and managed to snatch a 28-27 win, with the game decided by a missed conversion from Andrea Bruniera.

They fell to a 33-31 defeat to Ireland in Round Two before bouncing back to claim a resounding 54-12 win over Scotland.

Outside of Tuilagi making his debut, France are boosted by the return of Louis Bielle-Biarrey and Emilien Gailleton.

Both players have been released from the senior team and have trained with Fabien Galthie’s squad.

The pair both played the game against Ireland but missed the other two. Gailleton captains the side in a crunch clash to keep their title aspirations alive.

England team

Meanwhile, England U20s head coach Alan Dickens has named his side, which contains a new starting lock combination.

Lewis Chessum is joined in the second-row by fellow Leicester Tigers youngster Robert Carmichael, who earns his first start.

Other changes see Rekeiti Ma’asi-White move to inside centre, and debutant Joe Jenkins joins him in the midfield.

Harlequins lock Harry Browne is in line for a potential debut from the bench while clubmate Cassius Cleaves returns from injury.
