#1 St. Cloud State wrestling pins Minot State, 32-6

The #1 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (13-0, 2-0 NSIC) scored a solid 32-6 victory at NSIC rival Minot State on Friday, Jan. 19 in Minot, N.D.
The Huskies lost in the opening bout at 125-pounds before Jordan Aquino earned six points with a pin at 4:40 against Minot’s Antonio Ramirezlazos at 133. In action at 141, Taner Trembley scored a 5-4 victory and Jake Barzowski gained extra points with a 21-4 tech fall win at 149.
Brett Stolarzyk picked up a 4-1 victory at 157-pounds for the Huskies before #8 Travis Holt pinned Minot’s Carlos Toledano at 4:42 in action at 165.
The victories continued to roll in at 174 with a 5-2 win by Devin FitzPatrick and a 5-1 win at 184 by Tyree Overton for the Huskies. #9 Vince Dietz defeated Briley Crissler by a 4-0 margin at 197-pounds to score SCSU’s final win of the night.
The Huskies will continue their 2017-18 season on Jan. 20 with a 2 p.m. dual match at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
