NDSU All-Access has released the fourth episode of “Steven Monk: On the Brink”, a season-long video documentary covering senior wrestler Steven Monk, who is currently ranked third in the nation at 165 pounds. Click the play button on the photo above to watch.
The fourth episode takes an in-depth look at the Monk family and how it has shaped Steven’s success, as well as an impending military deployment for Steven’s father, David.
A two-time NCAA Championships qualifier, Monk owns a record of 29-1 this season and a perfect 18-0 mark in duals for the Bison. Monk’s career record stands at 127-23 — giving him the second-most wins ever by a Bison wrestler and the seventh-best winning percentage in school history. He has won 82 of his last 90 matches.

NDSU All-Access will follow Monk from preseason drills through the NCAA Championships in March, as the Wausau, Wis., native aims for his first NCAA All-America honor. The documentary will delve into all aspects of Monk’s life and provide a behind-the-scenes look at one of the nation’s top wrestlers.
