If you loved the recent girl power “Wannabe” remake, get ready for some big news that will definitely spice up your life. The Spice Girls have announced in a new video that they are officially reuniting for their 20th anniversary.
There’s just one big catch—Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Mel B—also known as Ginger Spice, Baby Spice, and Scary Spice, respectively—will be creating their own girl group, GEM, so don’t expect to see Victoria Beckham pouting and strutting her stuff during any of your favorite Spice Girls anthems.
“We’ve been thinking, we have the best friends in the whole entire world,” Mel B begins the 40-second video.
Halliwell then appears on screen and thanks fans, saying “You’ve stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you.”
“We’ve had our ups and downs, but you’ve always been there,” Bunton continues. The three Spice Girls then appear on the screen and announce the big news together.

While Victoria Beckham has no plans to join the reunion, there’s still a chance that Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, could be on board.
“I am keeping tight-lipped. There are lots of discussions going on. Right now I am in the studio working on my own album and that is my focus. I’m taking it slowly,” the singer commented.
