In a remarkable achievement, a 26-year-old tribal girl from the remote Rangamura village in Khowai district has scripted history by becoming the first woman Air Traffic Controller (ATC) of Tripura. Bipasha Hrangkhawal is a graduate in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Mumbai University, a report in the Times of India stated.
She began her career as an assistant ATC in the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, in 2017. But she was shifted to the MBB Airport after a few months as she had to look after her ailing father.
Bipasha said her father always wanted to see her working as an ATC.
