As reported by La Dépêche, Toulouse are looking to sign Valerenga goalkeeper Kjetil Haug ahead of their return to Ligue 1 for next season after two years away.

The 23-year-old Norwegian is a Manchester City youth graduate but has been playing in his homeland since 2018 via spells with Elverum, Sogndal and now Valerenga since 2019 and he has represented Norway in every youth category, playing five times for the under 21 side.

Current TFC number one Maxime Dupé is expected to be replaced despite solid form of late as, according to Les Violets, the club use an analytical algorithm to assess player performance which has suggested the 29-year-old is not suited to Ligue 1. He may have to settle for second choice in the French top-flight or leave the club.

Toulouse have also approached 22-year-old Polish stopper Filip Majchrowicz with the club’s current second choice, Isak Pettersson, also expected to be pushed to leave, say the sports daily.
