Wales may well be changing their head coach just 10 months out from the Rugby World Cup with Wayne Pivac teetering on the brink.

It is understood that meetings have already taken place over the future of the 60-year-old with a formal review also set to go ahead following an awful Autumn Nations Series campaign.
Despite a victory over Argentina, Wales have lost their other three matches, including a shock 13-12 reversal at the hands of Georgia.
Australian comeback
They ended the campaign with their best performance in November as Pivac’s charges went 34-13 up against Australia after 55 minutes.
The Welsh looked set to emerge victorious and potentially save Pivac’s job, but the hosts imploded late on as the Wallabies fought back to snatch a 39-34 triumph.
Following that collapse, Pivac is unlikely to remain in the job with Warren Gatland potentially returning to the role.
Gatland, who led Wales to four Six Nations titles, three Grand Slams and two World Cup semi-finals, left the role after the 2019 global tournament.
Pivac said following Saturday’s defeat to Australia: “We review every competition, and we will do that and we have to take the positives out of the competition. Things that did not go well we can iron out.
“I certainly want to stay. You saw when we get things right we are a dangerous team.
“We have more players to come back into the side and the rest is up to other people.
“I am contracted through to the Rugby World Cup.”
Wales claimed the 2021 Six Nations title and were within touching distance of winning the Grand Slam, but that has been the head coach’s only success during his time in charge.
Dreadful 2022
Performances have otherwise been poor with 2022 proving to be particularly difficult for the Welsh.
It has seen them win just three matches, while they suffered home defeats to Italy and Georgia, leaving former centre Jamie Roberts to conclude that Pivac’s position is pretty much untenable.
“Regardless of the (Australia) result, I am not quite sure we have seen enough to warrant him taking us to the World Cup,” Roberts told Prime Video.
“Obviously, he wants to stay, but I haven’t seen that performance regularly enough throughout the last 12 months to convince me that Wales can have a shot at winning the World Cup.
“Test match rugby is about winning, regardless of how you play. It is a results-driven business, it’s professional sport.
“I look at this objectively, and this year we have lost at home to Italy and Georgia for the first time in our history.
“If we want to dine at the top table of international rugby, that is not acceptable.”
