The show starts with SmackDown Live Daniel Bryan announcing that Enzo Amore would be abdicating the title and that he is now in abeyance from 205 Live. He then said a 205 Live General Manager will be named next week and that person will decide the direction and future of the division and Cruiserweight Title.
Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show and previews some of the matches that will take place tonight. First Cedric Alexander will take on Mustafa Ali and also Hideo Itami will take on Jack Gallagher, but first we get six-man tag-team action to start of the night.
Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik & Kalisto vs. Ariya Daivari, TJP & Tony Nese: TJP and Dorado starts us off with pretty even attacks. Dorado with a dab to mock TJP. Dorado hits a big chop and then a standing moonsault and goes for the pin, but only a two count. TJP is able to tag in Nese, but gets dropkicked. Gran Metalik comes in and hits the ropes a number of times before sending Nese to the floor. Metalik hits the ropes once again, but Nese jumps back in and cuts him down before Metalik could fly. Daivari get tagged in and goes for the quick count, but only a two. Commentary wonders if the “allegiance” of Gulak, Daivari & Nese will remain as things change for 205 Live. Kalisto is in now and hits a big springboard splash on Daivari and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Kalisto with a dodge and hits Daivari with a roundhouse kick that drops Daivari. Kalisto ends up on the second ropes, but gets distracted by Nese and Daivari sends him down to the floor. Kalisto is pulled back in the ring and is pinned, but barely a one count. TJP is now in the match and continues to keep Kalisto grounded. TJP hits a belly-to-back suplex, then a clothesline and goes for a pin, but only a two count.

Kalisto tries to get back into the match and there is a small window to tag out and even though Daivari stops him for a moment, he is able to tag in Dorado. Dorado takes out Nese on the apron and hits the hurricanrana and a springboard crossbody on TJP. Dorado heads up to the top and hits a big moonsault on a standing TJP. Both Metalik and Kalisto hits stereo dropkicks and flips to the floor taking out the other opponents. TJP is down near the corner and Dorado goes go a shooting star press. TJP ends up running into Nese and Dorado ends up hitting a handspring stunner for the win. Winners: Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado & Kalisto
After the match, TJP gets all mad at Nese and Daivari, Nese ends up shoving him down to the mat and Daivari just walks out.
We head backstage where Drew Gulak is on top of a podium with an American flag behind it. He says that he supports the decision to name a GM and that 205 Live needs an authority to rid the show of the flipping, diving and high flying that has plagued it for so long and that 205 Live must be turned into Drew-topia.
Before the next match, Itami gets on the mic and says that what happened to The Brian Kendrick was not his fault and that injuries happen. He respects Kendrick, but he does not respect Gallagher.

Hideo Itami vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher: Match gets going and Itami hits a strike instantly dropping Gallagher. Gallagher heads to the ropes and Itami follows, but he gets kicked to the stomach. Itami gets whipped into the corner and Gallagher charges. Itami hits Gallagher with some kicks and hits a flying knee which sends Gallagher to the floor. Gallagher heads under the ring and comes out from a different side getting a strike from behind on Itami. Gallagher working on Itami’s shoulder and pulls back on his hand. Gallagher locks in a double wrist lock as he taunts the crowd a bit. Itami works his way back into the match as he hits a release suplex and heads to the top rope and hits a flying clothesline and goes for the pin, but only a two count.
Itami nearly runs into the referee as Gallagher rolls him up, but only a two count. Itami hits a spinning back fist and a running drop kick to Gallagher in the corner. Itami hits a lesser version of the GTS (he didn’t put him up on his shoulders) and goes for the pin for the 1-2-3. Winner: Hideo Itami
We head backstage where Akira Tozawa is walking around and wonders who the next GM will be. He says that he could be a good boss and tells some random guy looking at his phone that he’s fired.

We head to the locker room where Cedric Alexander addresses the title situation. He says that even though he is not getting his championship opportunity on Sunday, the mission is the same. He will bring in the Age of Alexander in 2018, and he will be the Cruiserweight Champion.
Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander: Friendly handshake to kick off the match. Both are backed into the corner and Ali backs away without issue. Ali hits a mexican headscissors, but Alexander flips on his feet and smiles. Both competitors are caught in the corner, but this time Alexander didn’t really break clean. Ali shoves Alexander and gets shoved back. Alexander hits an amazing dropkick and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Ali hits a pop-up dropkick and goes for a pin, but not even a one count. Ali heads out to the apron, goes to springboard back in, but Alexander pie faces him. Ali gets slammed against the apron on the way down. The referee starts his ten count. Alexander grabs Ali and throws him in and goes for the pin, but only a two count. Alexander hits Ali with a hard uppercut in the corner and a couple of chops, then a hard whip into the other corner. Alexander charges in, but Ali jumps over and Alexander goes right into the second rope.
Ali drops Alexander from the apron, he rolls back in and hits him with a facebuster and goes for the pin, but only a two count. Ali tries for a tornado DDT, but gets denied. Alexander hits a boot to Ali’s face from the apron and hits a springboard flatliner and goes for a pin, but only a two count. The crowd reacts to the kick-out as Alexander is getting agitated. Ali hits a huge slap to Alexander and gets one in return. Alexander goes to hit the ropes, but gets stopped. Ali hits a Spanish Fly and gets a clap from the crowd. Alexander goes for a lumbar check, but gets reversed and gets pinned for only a two count. Alexander hits another kick and goes to springboard in, but Ali stops him and Alexander hits his face on the top turnbuckle. Alexander is stunned and Ali hits a great tornado DDT. Ali goes for the 054 and misses. Alexander hits a handspring kick and then a lumbar check for the 1-2-3. Winner: Cedric Alexander
After the match, both competitors shake hands and Ali raises Alexander’s hand and heads out of the ring. Alexander continues to celebrate to end the show.
