WWE is looking to schedule this year’s Draft episodes of Raw and SmackDown, targeting the final Raw of August to kick things off.

Mat Men’s Andrew Zarian first reported this year’s Draft is scheduled for Monday, August 30th and Friday, September 3rd. Dave Meltzer says the dates are penciled in as of this point, but could change.

The draft concept was revived in 2019 following three straight Superstar Shake-Ups and was held in mid-October the past two years.

Last year’s rules were that Raw got three picks every round with SmackDown getting two due to the length of their respective shows. Tag teams counted as one pick unless either USA or Fox “in conjunction with WWE officials” wanted to specificially pick one talent.

Following the draft, both brands historically have “free agent” signings afterward to help round out the rosters.

Last year’s show saw Raw end up with Drew McIntyre, The Fiend/Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair and Matt Riddle among others while SmackDown got Daniel Bryan, Bayley, The Street Profits, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens as some of their picks.
